A global pharmaceutical company focused on rare disease treatment is seeking a CRM Lead - Senior Manager to lead its CRM strategy in Japan. This role will oversee a major migration from an existing CRM system to a new global platform while enabling data-driven customer engagement across the commercial organization. You will work closely with global headquarters, local business teams, and technology partners to ensure a successful transformation of CRM capabilities within Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the local CRM strategy aligned with the company's commercial objectives in Japan.
- Lead the end-to-end migration from the current CRM platform to a new global system.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Japan team and global headquarters for CRM updates and system governance.
- Maintain strong data governance, security, and system access management across CRM users.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to support data-driven engagement and commercial performance.
- Manage external vendors and technology partners to deliver CRM and analytics initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience working with pharmaceutical CRM systems such as Veeva or Salesforce.
- Strong technical capabilities in SQL and data reporting tools such as Power BI or MicroStrategy.
- Experience working in global organizations and collaborating across international teams.
- Proven experience managing complex projects and coordinating external vendors.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to balance local business needs with global technical standards.
- Strong communication skills to guide teams through complex system migrations.
- Capability to translate technical requirements between global stakeholders and local vendors.
- Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Intermediate to Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience leading large-scale CRM system migration projects.
- Knowledge of integrating marketing automation platforms with CRM systems.
- Experience using analytics to segment customers and improve digital engagement strategies.
