A leading global investment bank is seeking a DCM Vice President to Director to drive origination and execution of Debt Capital Markets mandates in Japan. This senior role involves leading end-to-end transaction processes, managing institutional client coverage, and contributing to strategic growth across the bank's Japan DCM franchise. You will work closely with bankers, product teams, and global stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions to major Japanese issuers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the origination and execution of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) transactions.
- Manage coverage of Japan-based institutional clients, including corporates and financial institutions.
- Drive idea generation, market updates, and strategic recommendations for clients.
- Work closely with internal teams across product, legal, and compliance to ensure seamless execution.
- Support junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the Japan DCM platform.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of DCM experience within an investment bank in Japan.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication, execution capability, and client-facing professionalism.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level.
- English: Business level.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience covering major Japanese issuers or financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of capital markets regulations and financing structures.
