Join one of Japan's largest global technology groups as a CIO Office IT Analyst, supporting technology leadership through data-driven decision-making, executive dashboards, business intelligence, and process improvement.
As part of the CIO Office, you will manage and enhance executive dashboards, KPI/OKR reporting, BI solutions, and internal digital tools. You will analyse business requirements, translate them into IT specifications, and collaborate with development teams on system enhancements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
The role also provides the opportunity to drive process automation and improve organisational productivity using modern technologies, including BI tools, SQL, data integration, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot.
This position is ideal for an experienced IT Analyst, Business Analyst, BI Analyst, or Data Analyst looking to use both Japanese and English while contributing directly to technology management and executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and continuously improve executive dashboards and KPI/OKR reporting using BI tools and SQL.
- Analyse business and technology performance data to support data-driven management decisions.
- Support strategic initiatives led by the CIO Office and contribute to their successful execution.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve internal business and technology processes.
- Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into clear IT and system specifications.
- Collaborate with development teams to deliver system enhancements and functional improvements.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes.
- Create reports, presentations, and analytical materials for executives and senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across business, technology, and management functions.
- Support improvements to internal digital solutions and business applications.
- Use data and technology to identify opportunities for greater operational efficiency and organisational performance.
- Contribute to productivity improvements through modern digital and Generative AI tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 4-6 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, business operations, Business Intelligence (BI), or Data Analytics.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Domo or Tableau.
- Basic working knowledge of SQL.
- Understanding of ETL and data integration concepts.
- Experience gathering and defining business or system requirements.
- Experience collaborating with development teams to deliver technology projects or system enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Comfortable working in a global, multicultural, and fast-moving technology environment.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native-level (for stakeholder communication, documentation, and executive reporting)
- English: Business-level (for working in a global environment; TOEIC 800-900+ or equivalent)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting internal business applications or digital products.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Previous experience within a CIO Office, PMO, IT strategy team, or technology organisation.
- Experience using Generative AI and productivity tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot.
