Job Description

Exciting Design role for User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) in sports-related tech startup in the heart of Tokyo!

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Design both the UX as well as the graphic UI for the web interface as well as the mobile app of the company's main product.
  • Plan design workshops and execute surveys to find out what suits most to the users preferences.
  • Analyze design painpoints from an Interaction Design perspective, keeping Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design Guidelines in mind.
  • Work with inhouse engineers to build a system that is easy and comfortable to use for the end-users.
  • Set up best practices and design guidelines for inside the company.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design
  • Experience using tools including Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD etc.
  • Experience planning and managing a design project
  • Fluent Japanese and intermediate English or above

Preferred skills

  • Experience in a startup environment
  • Experience with Human-Centered Design

Personal Attributes

  • Ability to work by oneself and solve problems creatively, as this is a standalone role.
  • Flexibility to pick up new things, including tasks, and new technology. As this is a startup, this will move and change quickly.
