Job Description

Manage all IT of international tech company, including IT Ops, Helpdesk Support and team management

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Participate in and manage all facets of IT operations, including the Support Desk, IT infrastructure, and disaster recovery.
  • As a manager, decide the team's course of action. To optimize the team's success, you also offer the right directions while respecting the team autonomy.
  • Plan, execute, and assess IT initiatives to make sure they are in line with company goals and integrate systems and relevant standards across parts of the enterprise.
  • Act as a point of contact for other departments, identifying their IT requirements and needs.
  • Ensure that ongoing initiatives, projects, and technological systems are maintained.
  • Identify weak spots, the need for upgrades, and other areas where improvement is possible for corporate IT.
  • Manage the IT budget in an effective manner.
  • Provide support to users with various issues.

Required skills

  • Bachelor degree in quantitative field (e.g., computer science, engineering, economics, or similar).
  • Over 10 years of experience managing IT services and infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership ability and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
  • Great attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with platforms for managing mobile devices and applications (MDM and MAM).
  • Knowledge of client SSL VPNs or other solutions for remote access.
  • Knowledge of Identity Access Management (IAM) and Single-Sign-On (SSO) technologies.
  • Overall knowledge of information security.
  • Business level English or above, fluent Japanese or above (including spoken and written).

Preferred skills

  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Knowledge of ticketing tools such as Jira
  • Business level Japanese is welcome

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to create a positive team culture while team members are working remote most of the time
