Job Description

Head of Finance at a smaller but well established Financial Institution, with a chance to step up as CFO.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Manage a small finance team reporting into the COO locally and the Asia CFO regionally.
  • Responsible for all financial closing and reporting to local regulators, auditors and region.
  • Complete management reporting and Financial Planning & Analysis to support strategic decision making the growth of the business in Japan and regionally.
  • Responsible for tax payments and strategic transfer pricing.
  • Support the development of new products and contribute to the new product approval process.
  • At present the firm does not have a CFO in Japan, but as the organisation growths the scope of the role will expand to take on executive level responsibilities with a CFO title.

Required skills

  • Experience finance manager who is keen to work in a smaller but more dynamic organisation and contribute to the growth of the business in Japan.
  • Ability to take on a broad range of responsibilities and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of securities and investment banking.

Preferred skills

  • Team management experience.
  • CPA or similar accounting qualifications.
