We are looking for a highly experienced Delivery Lead / Agile Coach to join a high profile market leader, on an initial 6 month contract with a view to extension. This is not a project manager role - it requires a unique blend of hands-on delivery leadership and strategic Agile coaching to drive enterprise-wide uplift. You will be a critical partner in shaping how business and technology teams deliver value, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and embedding Agile practices at scale.
This is not a traditional Project Manager position. We want someone who thrives on asking the tough questions, challenging assumptions and pushing back constructively on stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. You will balance delivery responsibilities with coaching, guiding teams through transformation while ensuring projects are delivered predictably and efficiently.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Agile Uplift & Coaching: Drive Agile adoption across the enterprise. Mentor teams and leaders in Agile principles and practices to create a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Hands-on Delivery: Lead 2-3 concurrent uplift projects per Delivery Manager, spanning business process re-engineering and technology transformation. Facilitate sprints, storyboarding, daily stand-ups and review sessions.
- Ideation & Pressure Testing: Participate in solution ideation from the ground up. Test assumptions, challenge proposals and ensure decisions are commercially and operationally sound.
- Backlog Management: Prioritise and decompose a large backlog of epics into actionable work items that align with business goals.
- Tooling & Governance: Use JIRA and Confluence to track progress, report outcomes and share knowledge across teams.
- Post-Go-Live & Hypercare: Ensure smooth transitions to business-as-usual, overseeing hypercare activities to stabilise delivery and embed new ways of working.
- Enterprise-wide Impact: Work across multiple business units to deliver measurable value and influence how the organisation approaches Agile delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Certified Agile Practitioner: Agile Coach or Scrum Master certification with experience driving adoption at scale.
- Proven Delivery Record: Strong track record of leading multiple high-value business and technology uplift projects concurrently.
- Commercially Astute: Ability to link delivery decisions to business outcomes. Comfortable asking "why" and challenging scope to ensure maximum value.
- Hands-on Tool Expertise: Extensive experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Influential & Consultative: Skilled at coaching, facilitating workshops, and engaging senior stakeholders to drive alignment and commitment.
