The organisation is a NSW Government department who are looking to drive digital initiatives and enhance their connection with the residents of NSW by enhancing their websites. The Business Analyst / Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manager and work within a cross-functional team, which includes Digital (UX, content, tech SMEs), alongside testers and external vendors. This role is initially until December 2026, close to Gadigal and Town Hall Stations and will be required to work in the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead requirements elicitation activities including workshops, interviews and stakeholder consultations
- Document and manage detailed website requirements
- Work closely with the Project Manager to support planning, delivery tracking, and risk/issue management
- Prepare appropriate documentation and project status reports on progress of project activities, risks, issues and dependencies
- Liaise with Digital, Technology, QA and external vendors to ensure requirements are understood and implemented as intended
- Support solution design discussions to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical constraints
- Facilitate requirements validation and sign-off processes
- Support testing activities
Candidates should have the following skills and experience:
- Experience as a Business Analyst delivering digital or website projects
- Experience with waterfall and agile methodologies
- Experience documenting detailed website requirements, including functional, non-functional, integration and legislative requirements
- Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements elicitation skills
- Experience translating business needs into clear, structured documentation
- Managing ongoing communication with key stakeholders to ensure business needs are aligned to the proposed solutions
- Ability to support project delivery activities under the direction of a Project Manager
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including digital, technical, QA and vendors
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant professional experience
