About the role
As the Senior Manager, Remediation and Response you will manage relationships with key industry regulators, including APRA, ASIC, ATO, AUSTRAC, OAIC and others and act as the central point of contact for any regulator engagement requiring material remediation for the organisation.
Maintain a spirit of cooperation with regulators and maintain relationships by building trust and rapport in providing timely information within the required timeframes on required remediation/rectification work proposed or status of remediation.
Establish a remediation plan and framework in line with RG79.
Update the Organisation Board, Executives, and Senior Leaders onbreaches including key themes and insights, to enable relevant organizational awareness and greater focus on significant matters.
Create a Dashboard that outlines key metrics for the remediation activity.
Work with Business Divisions to develop Remediation and Rectification Plans in order to respond to Notifications or Undertakings received in conjunction with relevant expertise from SME's within the organisation.
Work with Business Areas or the Risk & Compliance teams to prepare data briefs to initiate data discovery process and commence analysis of the information requirements to feed back into the SWAT Working Group for consideration.
Work closely with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance functional lines and SME's to coordinate a response to regulators, and to inform the Remediation and Rectification.
Plan to ensure remediation and rectification.
The successful candidate
Previous experience in providing assurance on remediation activities in line with RG79
Strong knowledge of the SIS Act and Corporations Act.
Ability to oversee the collection and interpretation of extensive data from multiple sources and systems, to accurately define the extent of the root cause and provide requested data by regulators.
Experience leading regulatory remediation activities combined with strong project management skills.
Experience as the key liaison and central point of contact with regulators.
Strong communication skills and an ability to work at pace in a highly agile environment
