An exciting opportunity for an experienced Risk Manager to join a leading Government Department for a 6 month contract.
This leading Government Department is seeking an Enterprise Risk Manager for a 6 month contract, based across the Sydney CBD. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the Department's enterprise risk management frameworks, strategies, systems and reports are relevant to current and emerging risks. This role will be focused on risk partnering and transformation.
Key accountabilities:
Working with our Divisions and Agencies to understand their risk profiles
Running workshops and other engagement activities to update, build and improve the risk information from Divisions and Agencies
Providing advice and strategies for the business for managing detailed operational risks
Linking risk information vertically and horizontally across the organisation to provide insights, themes, gaps and opportunities
Providing risk training and advice
Change management, communications and transformation to further embed and enhance risk management
Provide recommendations and input into the strategic direction of the allocated Division to ensure effective risk mitigation strategies are in place to support the operational businesses.
Build and maintain effective business partnerships and strategic alliances with the allocated Division/s senior managers and key stakeholders to promote good governance and improved risk management practices.
Essential Criteria:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
Transformation & Risk Partnering experience essential.
Previous risk management experience essential.
Government experience preferred.
Strong stakeholder management skills essential.
