Exciting opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Asset Management Project Manager to join a high-level professional services unit for one of the top universities in Australia. This role will mainly be responsible for supporting initiatives for the ongoing use of our infrastructure, focusing on the strategic whole-of-life asset management, protective services, safety, as well as enhanced delivery of essential operational services.

This is a contract role initially until December 2023, with likelihood to extend

Hybrid work set up - 2-3 days in the office based in Camperdown

Rate is $1000 to $1100 per day inclusive of super.

About the Job:

  • Project delivery from conception to handover
  • Scope the investigation and gap analysis into project governance processes
  • Develop business cases, controlling cost, risk, and time
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the quality of project
  • Successfully deliver project deadlines and ensure that the work is performed according to agreed procedures and goals
  • Financial management of projects including cash flow, cost controls, and forecasting
  • Deliver with multiple tasks, manage projects effectively, and establish priorities while meeting strict and/or tight deadlines.

About You:

  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in a similar capacity as a Project Manager for large and complex organisations with over $5 million project value
  • Experiencing delivering Infrastructure Assets Management projects is a MUST. Focus on physical, rather than financial assets
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity can effectively cope with change, shift gears comfortably, decide and act without having the total picture, and handle risk and uncertainty
  • Knowledge and understanding of project governance and risk management
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple programs and projects, and achieving (exceeding) required deliverables.
  • With Prince 2 Practitioner or equivalent certifications, or relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and experience
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective and constructive working relationships with colleagues
