An exciting opportunity for an experience cost allocation analyst to work for a leading Government Department, based in Burwood.
This leading Government Department is seeking a Cost Allocation Analyst for a contract until September 30th, based in Burwood. In this role you will be responsible for managing, facilitating and coordinating end-of-month activities and timetables, including closing cockpit for divisions and operating entities across the Department.
Manage month-end processes according to the month-end timetable for divisions and operating entities, ensuring compliance to regulatory and organisational policies, systems and procedures
Coordinating Closing Cockpit maintenance, execution and communication to ensure that the month-end activities are completed within a strict timeframe
Ensuring data integrity by working closely with divisions and operating entities before month-end by conducting comprehensive data checks and preparation work.
Preparing daily and monthly reports and chair monthly stakeholder engagement to divisions and operating entities on the status of their end-of-month activities and investigate issues that will potentially delay end-of-month and formulate strategies and recommendation for forward planning
Work cooperatively within the Financial Management and Control team, exchange information and assist other team members to achieve team objectives and work outcomes.
Tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or in a related discipline, and/or extensive experience in month-end accounting in a large organisation, preferably in the public sector.
Full membership of (or working towards) a recognised professional accounting body
Sound working knowledge of Finance systems and applications, including the use of spreadsheets and presentation software.
