Senior Reinsurance Client Manager Tokyo | P&C

As a Senior Client Manager - Non-Life Reinsurance & Global Accounts, you will develop and execute account strategies, negotiate complex reinsurance solutions, and identify opportunities for profitable growth. Combining deep technical knowledge of non-life reinsurance and P&C underwriting with strong commercial expertise, you will work directly with stakeholders ranging from operational teams to C-suite executives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and strengthen strategic relationships with major P&C insurance and reinsurance clients across domestic and international markets.
• Develop and execute tailored account strategies designed to deliver profitable growth and high-value reinsurance solutions.
• Lead complex client negotiations, leveraging global product capabilities and technical underwriting expertise to develop effective solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives and C-suite decision-makers.
• Identify emerging business opportunities and contribute to strengthening the organisation's presence and brand visibility within the Japanese reinsurance market.
• Lead cross-functional client service teams to ensure high-quality operational delivery and alignment with strategic account objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in non-life reinsurance sales or underwriting, ideally within global financial services or insurance organisations.
• Strong commercial expertise combined with deep technical knowledge of property and casualty (P&C) reinsurance products.
• Proven experience managing strategic client relationships and complex commercial negotiations.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
• Bachelor's degree.
