This hybrid position is ideal for a bilingual legal professional with strong editorial judgment, a passion for law, and the ability to mentor teams while engaging with clients. You'll play a key role in shaping high-impact content that influences legal professionals across the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and edit high-quality legal content aligned with industry trends and client expectations
- Translate and review bilingual legal material to ensure consistency and legal accuracy
- Build relationships with third-party contributors to enrich legal insights and commentary
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes, support strategy through market engagement
- Mentor team members, uphold content standards, and support cross-functional initiatives in marketing, sales, and product development
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience or equivalent legal expertise
- In-depth knowledge of Japanese law with bilingual fluency
Technical & Editorial Skills:
- Excellent writing and editorial skills with the ability to simplify complex legal topics
- Proficiency in legal research databases and editorial tools
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Fluent
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience managing legal editorial teams or legal content projects
- Familiarity with legal tech platforms and AI-based editorial tools
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience, particularly across APAC
