Join a global leader in precision oncology as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Tokyo. In this high-impact, field-based role, you'll engage with Japan's top oncology experts, translating complex scientific data into clinical insights. As a trusted scientific partner, you'll help drive the understanding and adoption of innovative cancer diagnostics that improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in oncology
- Support medical strategy execution aligned with commercial goals and brand plans
- Educate physicians on clinical data and ensure the accurate interpretation of scientific evidence
- Create and share scientific education materials; support speaker training for scientific forums
- Plan and lead expert engagement initiatives, including Clinical Advisory Boards
- Serve as the point of contact for collaborative and investigator-initiated research projects
- Provide internal teams with medical insights and scientific review of promotional content
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD)
- 3+ years of experience in MSL, medical affairs, or clinical roles in the pharma/biotech industry
- Proven experience collaborating with academic medical experts
Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of oncology, diagnostics, and scientific data interpretation
- Knowledge of clinical trial processes and publication development
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and scientific presentation skills
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving, collaboration, and adaptability
- Ability to work independently in a field-based setting
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native
- English: Intermediate to Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in oncology or diagnostics-focused MSL roles
- Strong knowledge of the Japanese academic and clinical landscape
