Join a global consulting firm supporting major financial institutions as an IT Risk Consultant, operating at the forefront of financial DX, IT risk, and digital governance.
This role focuses on helping banks, insurers, and securities firms manage evolving risks related to cloud, AI, data, and digital transformation, while strengthening governance and resilience in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial institutions clients (banking, insurance, and securities) to enhance IT risk and digital risk management.
- Assess and design governance frameworks for cloud, AI, and data-driven risks.
- Provide risk-focused advisory and monitoring for DX and large-scale system transformation projects.
- Support cybersecurity and operational resilience initiatives.
- Collaborate with global teams and overseas stakeholders on regulatory and governance requirements.
- Identify issues and propose improvements through internal audits and third-party assessments.
- Contribute to the planning and advancement of AI governance initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Practical experience in IT, systems, or risk-related roles within financial institutions or related industries.
- Experience in IT risk management, information security, or system development/operations.
- Background in consulting, audit, PM/PMO, or project-driven environments.
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders to drive initiatives forward.
Soft Skills:
- Strong logical thinking with the ability to identify root causes of complex issues.
- Clear communication skills, able to explain technical topics to non-specialists.
- High intellectual curiosity toward emerging technologies such as AI and Web3.
- Positive mindset toward change with a willingness to embrace new challenges.
- Team-oriented approach with ownership and collaboration.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Intermediate to business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in project management (PM/PMO) roles.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud, AI, and data governance.
- Understanding of Japanese financial regulations (FISC, FSA guidelines), as well as international regulations.
- Familiarity with IT frameworks and certifications such as ISMS, BCMS, or PCI DSS.
- Interest or experience in Blockchain/Web3 or AI governance.
