Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and enhance compliance programs in line with Japan's financial regulations and corporate standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and oversee reviews of products and services to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, responding to inquiries and ensuring transparency.
- Partner with global HQ and business partners to drive and align global compliance initiatives.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business.
- Develop and mentor team members, implementing training programs to strengthen compliance expertise and improve operational accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Over 10 years' compliance experience in Japan's financial institutions or fintech industry.
- Strong understanding of Japanese financial regulations and risk management practices.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks proactively and explain complex regulatory requirements to non-specialist stakeholders
Soft skills:
- Be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native level.
- English: Business level or above.
