A leading global investment bank is seeking an experienced Head of Execution Services Japan to lead and expand its execution services business within the Japanese market.
This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to oversee execution services strategy, strengthen relationships with institutional investors, and drive business growth across Japan's highly competitive equities market. You will work closely with Sales Trading, Electronic Trading, Research, Prime Services, and Global Markets teams to deliver best-in-class execution solutions to clients.
As a key member of the front-office leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the firm's execution strategy, enhancing client engagement, and driving commercial success within one of the world's most sophisticated financial markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Execution Services business in Japan, driving revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance execution capabilities and client coverage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, asset managers, hedge funds, and other market participants.
- Collaborate with Sales Trading, Electronic Trading, Research, and Global Markets teams to deliver integrated execution solutions.
- Drive client acquisition and business development initiatives across the Japanese market.
- Monitor market structure developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends impacting execution services.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing execution services team.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, client meetings, and strategic business discussions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of Equity Execution Services experience within an investment bank operating in Japan.
- Strong understanding of Japanese equity markets, market structure, trading workflows, and execution strategies.
- Proven track record of managing institutional client relationships and driving business growth.
- Experience working closely with electronic trading, sales trading, and execution platforms.
- Deep knowledge of market regulations and best execution practices.
- Leadership experience within a front-office or execution services environment.
