Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable APIs for core social features such as posting, commenting, and real-time user interactions.
- Architect high-performance microservices capable of handling massive read/write traffic with sub-second response times.
- Optimize database performance across multiple MySQL instances and implement advanced Redis caching strategies.
- Lead technical initiatives and influence system architecture while maintaining engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and technical guidance to strengthen team performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of professional Go experience, including concurrency patterns, performance tuning, and production debugging
- Proven experience building high-load applications with massive concurrent traffic and high throughput
- Strong production database expertise (MySQL or PostgreSQL), including query tuning and performance optimization
Soft Skills:
- Strong technical leadership with a focus on mentoring and supporting team development
- Excellent collaborative problem-solving skills for architecture and system design decisions
- Clear communication skills across technical teams in a fast-paced environment
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Conversational level
- English: Fluent (Business-level communication)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or ArgoCD, plus observability stacks for distributed tracing
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, Push Notifications, or real-time feature development
- Knowledge of media processing systems, including file upload pipelines and storage optimization
