Key Responsibilities
- Support AML, ABC, and financial crime programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate data privacy initiatives, including PrivacyMark documentation and data protection assessments.
- Monitor trade sanctions and competition law compliance, escalating risks where necessary.
- Assist in delivering compliance training and audit support, maintaining proper documentation.
- Support the review and preparation of commercial contracts and legal documents.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or risk management within financial services.
- Knowledge of Japanese financial regulations (JFSA), corporate law, or data privacy laws (APPI).
- Experience handling regulatory documentation and compliance processes.
Soft Skills:
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple business units.
- Proactive mindset with high attention to detail and ethical judgment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide guidance on compliance matters.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in insurance or consulting industries.
