Job Description
Manage Cyber Security strategy and initiatives for global pharma company (perm role)
Roles/Responsibilities
- Serve as a comprehensive specialist in the field of cybersecurity at domestic manufacturing sites, preventing and mitigating cybersecurity risks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at domestic manufacturing sites to plan, coordinate, and execute cybersecurity management programs, focusing on preventing and reducing cyber threats.
- Define policies, standards, and SOPs for manufacturing systems to align with cybersecurity risk strategies and plans, providing comprehensive and independent monitoring and governance.
- Serve as a liaison between global and domestic manufacturing sites, facilitating the implementation of global cybersecurity programs and driving their adoption at domestic manufacturing sites.
- Establish and maintain communication channels with relevant departments (e.g., engineering) to facilitate the promotion of cybersecurity activities.
- Develop and promote education programs for establishing a cybersecurity operations organization and nurturing talent.
- Monitor compliance with global or site-specific security rules and procedures.
- Plan, execute, and assess regular security assessments at domestic manufacturing sites, driving improvement actions based on the results.
Required skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent knowledge.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Japanese.
- 5+ years of experience in risk management related to cybersecurity, information security, and IT infrastructure.
- 5+ years of experience managing cybersecurity programs, ideally collaborating with factories or manufacturing sites of any kind.
- Proven experience leading and driving tasks and projects in collaboration with stakeholders and team members at a practical level.
- Strong ability to prioritize, align stakeholder expectations, and develop and execute action plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, logical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and adaptive manner with teams from multiple countries and diverse cultures and communication styles.
- Experience working on global projects.
- Native level Japanese, business level English or higher.

Preferred skills
- Cybersecurity related certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
- Experience working with on-site security such as in production sites, factories, or similar.
