Azure Engineer (6 month contract )

Job Description

On behalf of my client I'm seeking a skilled Azure Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis for a fully remote role.

 

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure cloud computing, with demonstrated experience in implementing SAP and Hana S4 into Azure environments.

 

As part my clients agile team, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure solutions, with a focus on integrating SAP and Hana S4 systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop implementation strategies.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate deployment processes and streamline software delivery.
• Implement source control and access control mechanisms to ensure versioning and secure access to cloud resources.
• Deploy applications and services in secure zones, implementing necessary controls and encryption mechanisms to safeguard sensitive data.
• Configure and manage lockdown areas within Azure environments, ensuring restricted access and adherence to security policies.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
• Optimize cloud resources to improve efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Document technical specifications, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance cloud infrastructure capabilities.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to drive collaboration and accountability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Azure Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of Azure services and capabilities.
• Hands-on experience implementing SAP and Hana S4 systems in Azure environments.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• Experience implementing source control and access control mechanisms in Azure environments.
• Experience deploying applications and services in secure zones, with knowledge of encryption and access controls.
• Familiarity with configuring and managing lockdown areas within Azure environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred but not required.

 

This is a 6-month contract position, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.

 

This position is fully remote, with an immediate start date.
