This business is a leader in the energy and premium infrastructure solutions space with a focus on enabling future digital communities. As a start-up hub backed by a large corporate, they are at the forefront of emerging energy solutions with a strong client base ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations in industries such as manufacturing, mining, shipping, engineering, tourism and agriculture. Due to accelerated growth, the business is looking to invest in adding to their strategic horsepower internally.

The Strategy team is built with bright and diverse, go-getter individuals with strong top tier management consulting and investment banking experience, coupled with industry experts that work closely with this division, creating a high-performing environment. Due to continued growth, this business is looking for motivated problem solvers with a strong modelling background and commercial mindset who are after a fast-tracked career opportunity in a high growth and innovation space.


The Strategy & Financial Associate will play a key role in developing and driving analytical problem solving that underpins key business decisions and establishing a data driven, commercial culture across the business. You will be accountable for the development and refinement of the analytical tools, including business case, valuation and pricing models that underpin key strategic decisions. You will be working closely with and supporting other members of the commercial team and managing a broad range of stakeholders across the organisation.

  • Develop business case, valuation, and pricing financial models and supporting communications materials for ET and Board for key strategic decisions.
  • Work with operational and other commercial team members to identify and refine value driver analysis across the business.
  • Coach team members across the business to think commercially, build business cases and be data-led in their decision making.
  • Manage diverse teams of stakeholders across the business to develop and deliver on the strategy and business plan.
  • Build strong relationships and rapport across thebusiness and key stakeholders across the group including Finance teams.
  • Be proactive, work together with others as a team to achieve the best team outcomes, prioritise and be able to work independently across the business to create the most impact.


To be successful in your application, you must have the following:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a top tier company in a strategy consulting role with relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Demonstrated structured problem-solving capability and hypothesis led thinking
  • Advanced analytical, excel modelling and financial analysis skills, including experience working with big data and a customer focus
  • Ability to confidently liaise and engage with stakeholders and present insights and reports
  • Ability to contribute to and inspire high performing teams
  • A passion for the energy and electricity industry is preferred
