Job Description

Excellent opportunity for an Oracle HCM techno functional consultant to work on a large project with NSW government on a 9 month contract at $1100+ super per day.

NSW Government is looking for a HR and payroll application technical specialist to join their dynamic team for a large piece of work on a 9 month contract role with a huge possibility to extend further or move onto other large projects taking place within the department.

This Applications Technical Specialist - HR and Payroll is responsible for providing the enhancement, maintenance, and support of the Oracle Applications in the areas of Human Resources and Payroll. The role will develop Oracle Application including the design, development, testing, deployment and support of custom extensions and the integration with 3rd party and legacy systems.


  • Translate high-level business requirements, solution design and user requirements defined in functional specifications into quality technical specifications and technical artefacts or components, (including configuration and integrations) to meet suitable business requirements and design.
  • Development data and business models and data item content relevant to the assignment, specifications of interfaces between source and end state systems
  • Build, test and deploy technical components adhering to System Development Life Cycle, Development Standards, Guidelines and Agile Framework to meet business and process requirements.
  • * Lead the engagement on Oracle Application Support in areas of Finance, Procurement, HR & Payroll and/or HCM across the system.

About you:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle development tools such as Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Workflow, AME, XML Publisher and XML Bursting, Oracle Applications Framework (OAF), Application Development Framework (ADF), SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience with Fast Formula in the HR and Payroll space, including proven experience in defining and creating solutions is a must.
  • Extensive experience as a Technical Analyst working with Oracle Applications including experience in implementations and upgrades.
  • Functional knowledge of Oracle Application modules such as HR, Payroll, Self Service Human Resources and Oracle Time and labour.
