Purpose of the role:
Reporting to the Commercialisation Manager, you will play a strategic role in identifying research, technology, and expertise suitable for commercial development. You will also promote and facilitate linkages between researchers and industry, optimising translation and commercialisation of the Organisation's research, technology, and expertise.
Partner with Business Development Manager/s to identify, evaluate and develop intellectual property and expertise generated from Organisation's research for commercial opportunities and building partnerships with industry.
Provide high-level support and advice to researchers in order to effectively leverage their intellectual property and expertise.
Review and negotiate commercial environment agreements including license agreements and other related agreements to maximise outcomes from the commercialisation of organistion's Intellectual Property.
Develop and promote partnerships between Research Operations and key internal stakeholders ensuring the commercialisation activities of Research Operations Post-Award.
Develop, maintain and further strengthen effective communication, relationships and networks to increase Research Operations Post-Award vigilance and responsiveness to internal and external clients' needs, proactively building links with entrepreneurs, investors, industry and various state and federal funding bodies.
Implement strategies to strengthen the entrepreneurial culture at the organisation including through workshops, seminars and training programs.
Extensive experience in commercial partnerships position.
Expereince in market validation, proof of concept development and productisation of IP.
Intellectual Property Protection experience is essential.
Experience in technology, engineering or physical science is essential.
University experience is highly desirable.
Contracts management and negotiation experience desirable.
