Security Architect/Lead

Job Description

Lead position in global company, focused on strengthening the overall Cyber and IT Security Architecture of the company


  • Manage all cybersecurity related matters, including policy setup and adjusting.
  • Ensure the security technology is up-to-date and work with other teams such as the penetration testing team, incident response team, and compliance team, to find weaknesses in the architecture.
  • Control and maintain the security strategy roadmap.
  • Improve the security architecture by mapping out the current state clearly, and implementing, patching and utilizing new technologies where necessary.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity related role.
  • Hands-on experience in any cybersecurity field (pentesting, incident response, threat management, firewalls, end-point, network security or others).
  • Experience leading or managing projects
  • IT Architect experience (can be within cybersecurity, or other such as enterprise architecture.
  • Fluent Japanese or native Japanese language skills, as well as conversational English or higher.

Preferred skills

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience working in global teams in a project
  • Certifications in cybersecurity area such as CISSP, CISM, CISA
  • Certifications in other IT areas such as TOGAF or PMP

Personal Attributes

  • Interest in learning things that are slightly outside of their normal scope, always looking to improve skills.
  • Can work well independently (as this team is mostly working from home, also after corona).
