An opportunity for an talented legal professional to join an innovative global fintech firm expanding in Japan

Roles/Responsibilities

• Our client is a leading international crypto-asset exchange operating in various countries and pioneering the development decentralized finance as well as digital payments / blockchain infrastructure.
• They are in the process of establishing their Japan business and launching in the market, and subsequently are seeking to further bolster the leadership team with stakeholders in key functions, including a dedicated legal counsel.
• The core responsibilities for this role will be monitoring regulatory developments in the digital assets space, coordinating with regulators and working with the business team to manage legal risk and provide legal advisory support.
• Great opportunity to be part of a growing business and a rapidly evolving area of finance, and as the company scales up in Japan there will be opportunities for the role and team to expand further.

Required skills

• 3+ years PQE (any jurisdiction) with experience in financial services or technology
• Knowledgeable of technology or financial regulations, ideally with direct experience interacting with Japanese regulators / authorities
• Fluent Japanese & English
