Roles/Responsibilities

• As the Chief Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our company's compliance framework.
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance strategy, policies, and procedures that align with relevant financial regulations and industry standards in Japan.
• Leading the compliance team and fostering a culture of ethical conduct, accountability, and regulatory awareness within the organization.
• Monitoring and assessing the company's compliance with local and international regulatory requirements and proactively identifying potential compliance risks.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with legal, risk management, and business teams to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into business strategies and decisions.
• Reporting to senior management and the board of directors on compliance issues, regulatory developments, and the effectiveness of the compliance program.
• Advising senior management with the compliance implications of certain business decisions; taking a leading role in strategic decision making.

Required skills

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management within the financial services or fintech industry.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese financial regulations, payment services laws, and relevant compliance frameworks.
• Fluency in both Japanese and English languages.
