A Senior Strategy Manager position working for a high calibre and well respected in-house strategy team

The overview

We are delighted to be working with one of Australia's most iconic and well known brands to find them a Senior Strategy Manager to join their in-house Group Strategy function. The team is composed of high calibre and passionate individuals from a range of backgrounds including management consulting, investment banking and corporate venture capital.

The key responsibilities of the role and team include:

  • Analysis of the operating environment and identification of the potential medium ti linger term issues and trends that are of strategic significance to the Group's portfolio of businesses.
  • Evaluation of the implications of environmental change, development of strategic options and recommendations to achieve the Group's vision and objectives over the medium to longer term.
  • Facilitating the annual strategy development processes with the Executive leadership team and the board.
  • Contributing to the development of the the corporate strategy, generating insights on the near and long term challenges and opportunities facing the group and broader industry.
  • Lead and execute projects end to end by working with the stakeholders across the group. This will include identifying framing and scoping problems, undertaking internal and external research, synthesizing complex information and project management responsibilities.
  • Support the Strategy team to build practice tools and IP, including frameworks, approaches and solutions to enhance the teams productivity.

Your skills and experience

  • 3 - 5 years experience working in a top tier strategy consulting firm, in-house strategy function or Investment Banking
  • Exposure to Financial Services sector
  • Ability to take ownership of complex strategic cases, with demonstrated structured problem solving capability and hypothesis led thinking and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently in high performing teams
  • Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder engagement skills
