Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to lead and manage the procurement services team of a high-profile NSW government department.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to lead and manage the procurement services team of a high-profile NSW government department. This role will be mainly responsible for the end-to-end procurement across projects to oversee program deliery within the required milestones.

This is an initial contract of 6 months, and will follow a hybrid work model (Macquarie Park and WFH).

About the Job:

  • Lead the planning and management of end to end procurement process for different branches/programs with input from the procurement cross functional team and in compliance with relevant policies, standards, procedures and frameworks
  • Lead the engagement across multiple branches/programs/projects to develop tender evaluation methodology with input from the procurement cross functional team
  • Manage a team of procurement staff including work allocation, capability development and performance management to deliver procurement within all procurement policies, processes and procedures and governance frameworks
  • Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies for the defined branches/program/project delivery strategy in consultation with the procurement cross-functional team
  • Coordinate the development and on-going maintenance of comprehensive supplier performance management plans

About You:

  • Extensive end to end procurement, and contract management/administration experience in a large and complex organisation
  • Experience in the public sector/infrastructure/construction/facilities is ideal
  • Experience working with and managing multidisciplinary project teams with good understanding of the processes for procuring services for different project.
  • Excellent communication skills both in written and verbal forms
  • Can work autonomously or as part of a team
