About the role

Being part of the Banking Product Governance team, you will have an opportunity to work across all Banking Products in a Line 1 Risk opportunity.

As a Process Analysis and Controls Manager, you will be responsible:

  • Identification and mapping of key business processes to agreed standards, leveraging previous skills and expertise in this area.
  • Leading a team in process mapping and controls
  • utilising these process maps to document key risks, current controls and diagnose potential control gaps
  • leading discussions and workshops with key stakeholders
  • working with stakeholders on best-fit solutions for any identified control gaps
  • prepare and provide updates, insights and reports to stakeholders
  • creation, maintenance, continuous improvement, and governance over the approach to ensure consistency and the implementation of best practice
  • other general risk advice and support to stakeholders and the broader team, as needed.

The successful candidate

  • Strong experience in business process mapping or business process improvement.
  • Prior experience leading a team or projects ideal but not essential
  • A practical understanding of the implementation of risk and control frameworks to manage non-financial risks in highly regulated contexts.
  • A proactive and pragmatic approach with a strong bias to action, and an ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders and promote a strong risk culture while balancing competing priorities.
  • An ability to effectively challenge the business, role modelling a mindset of "chronic unease" and customer outcomes focus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
