About the role

The Platform Engineer is a new role that brings together shared technology components, tools, workflows, and foundational IT capabilities to help managements and COEs deliver customer and business outcomes more quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer fulfilment, while safeguarding the Orange Code
  • Adopt long and short-term strategies for the local and global changing customer behaviour into technology outcomes
  • Proactively anticipate dependencies and collaborate across the entire organisation
  • Build the capabilities and maturity of its members
  • Team management and mentorship
  • Establish, and develop the engineering platform (IT4IT enablement )
  • Accountability for delivering reliable and faster foundational IT capabilities and solutions to support staff and COEs
  • Manage, develop and continually improve the IT Platforms scope of capabilities and products.
  • Capabilities and products initially in scope include workflow, CI/CD, Cloud foundation, event messaging and integration (real time, batch), security e.g. MFA, TPA, testing and automation tool
  • Handling e2e ownership to change and run IT operations including incident management, production outages, DR, IT Risk activities
  • Ensure all tech services comply with all local regulation and Company's Architectural and Technology standards, including Information and Tech Security standards

Skills

  • 10+ years of experience of developing, leading and governing solutions involving a range of technologies
  • Good experience across CRMs and marketing domains
  • Good awareness of the data domains
  • Experience in complex and regulated technology and organisational environments such as financial services, utilities, or telecommunication industries
  • Master's degree in technology- Computer Science or related discipline
  • Familiarity with technology, including J2EE, .NET, and Polymer
  • Proficient using Agile and DevOps tools
  • Experience with Project management and delivery methodologies, Microsoft Office suite
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels of the organisation
  • Proven commitment to comply with regulations, policies, and process
