Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Compliance & Assurance manager to lead the compliance and assurance for the Central Operations Division.

This leading Education Institution is seeking an experienced Compliance and Assurance manager to build and lead compliance and assurance capability within the Operations division. In this role you will be responsible for the divisions second line of defence assurance and control verification processes and the evaluation and reporting on the performance and effectiveness of management systems.

Key accountabilities:

  • Ensure the conversion of strategy, business plans, policies and operating budgets into effective operating processes and activities that meet short and long-term goals and objectives.

  • Develop and implement compliance and assurance frameworks within the operations division, ensuring efficient and effective utilisation of resources.

  • Oversee the development and alignment of compliance and assurance plans to Operations strategy and operational plans.

  • Provide strategic oversight for the compliance and assurance team, ensuring effective planning, delegation, coordination, staffing, and decision making.

  • Implement strategic compliance and assurance performance measurement and evaluation frameworks and systems to track, analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance and assurance activity and performance improvement programs.

  • Implement and monitor compliance and assurance protocols across the division.

  • Develop and implement strategic compliance and assurance performance measurement and evaluation frameworks and systems to track, analyse and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the management systems or programs.

  • Develop and implement communication and stakeholder strategies and plans.

Essential requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience in risk and compliance management with strong risk identification and assessment skills.

  • Strong compliance and assurance experience within a highly complex environment.

  • Demonstrated professional experience in the application of three lines of defence models (3LOD), legislative compliance, internal audit, assurance and controls verification processes.

  • Education or Government experience desirable.
