About the role

As an AEM Backend Engineer, you'll be part of the Banking and Financial Services team. You'll be instrumental in creating elegant solutions to complex problems, while also leading the technical implementation throughout the lifecycle of a project. As a team leader, you'll ensure that project deliverables meet time, scope and quality goals. As a technically excellent programmer, you'll have a deep understanding of software engineering principles and the latest industry trends.

About You

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
  • Expert with AEM (Ideally AEM 6.5)
  • Proven experience with CQ/Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Development experience and expertise in JAVA/J2EE
  • Experience using full-stack web developer technologies including ReactJS, AngularJS, JSON, HTML, etc
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps processes around CI/CD practices and tools
  • Experience working with Sling web framework and Apache Felix OSGi framework, Apache Jackrabbit, and Digital Asset Management
  • Experience with project automation technologies including Selenium, Jenkins, Jira, GitHub, etc.
  • Experience in creating Sightly Components and Templates, Sling Models, Java Services, Scheduled Jobs, Event Listeners, Workflows, Servlets in Adobe AEM
  • Expert in integration for RESTful APIs for rich systems integration with in-house and 3rd party services
  • Experienced working in an Agile environment and methodology
  • Good understanding of infrastructure and performance-related concepts, including caching
  • Demonstrable ability to break down complex problems and solve them systematically
  • With a risk mitigation mindset to ensure our systems are error-free and running at peak performance
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to appropriately adapt personal and leadership styles to maximise influence of situations
  • Solid communication skills, ability to articulate your thoughts to any audience even with stakeholders
