Up, down or flat? The state of salaries.
As has been the case in Japan for some time, salaries have remained flat. The higher rates of inflation have not yet translated to higher pay rates across Accounting & Finance - and this is likely to remain the case throughout 2024.
Finance departments will remain streamlined, but there will be a demand for professionals who can partner with the business and work with new technologies, as well as those who are bilingual. Candidates who have these skills can expect to receive competitive offers.
