This year there's been 'less pressure' to recruit this summer and therefore hiring processes have been paused during annual leave rather than being passed on, as has occurred historically, to colleagues.
Additionally, there's been a rise in individuals looking at alternative opportunities as a means to gain salary rises in their current positions through counter offers. Enver advises that this can be a risky strategy to take.
