Key Responsibilities:
- EHS Program Development: Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify potential hazards and implement control measures to mitigate risks.
- Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring awareness and understanding of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental responsibilities.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Environmental Management: Oversee waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure preparedness for potential emergencies.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of EHS activities, incidents, training, and compliance reports. Prepare and submit required regulatory reports in a timely manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS practices and programs, staying informed of industry trends and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Quality, Engineering, and HR, to integrate EHS considerations into daily operations and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical industries.
