A huge thank you to all that attended our Change Event on Monday, it was great to see so many familiar faces!

What We Can Learn from Conversational Intelligence®

I hope you all found it as inspiring as we did here at Morgan McKinley.  A special thanks to the wonderful Naomi Abbott for hosting a fascinating and highly relevant presentation on how to use Conversational Intelligence® to enhance your communication.

Naomi explained that Conversational Intelligence® (also known as C-IQ®) is the hardwired, and learnable, ability to connect, navigate and grow with others through conversation. It provides us with frameworks for building trust, which is the human platform from which great conversations emerge. C-IQ® activates higher levels of engagement, strengthening partnerships, and catalysing co-creation and innovation in relationships, teams and cultures.

In the session Naomi covered:

  • The impact of trust and distrust on change and performance
  • The Conversational Intelligence® essentials that will help you transform your relationships with stakeholders, leaders, peers and team members.
  • The science behind conversations; educating guests on chemicals such as cortisol, dopamine and oxytocin which are secreted into the body during intense or heightened communication exchanges.

Naomi gave attendees of the night a great tool kit which included questions to ask, techniques to use and tools that can be implemented into your everyday interactions.

If you want to find out more about how CIQ® could be helping your interactions please click here to connect with Naomi Abbott. If you’re wanting to have a conversation about opportunities or keen to join Morgan McKinley’s Change community please get in touch: eseidelin@morganmckinley.com.au.
