
The Banking Finance & Accountancy Division is split into three teams: the Senior Finance team and the Newly and Part Qualified teams which specialise dependent on qualification level and place candidates on a temporary and permanent basis.
The Senior Finance team consists of consultants with substantial industry and recruitment experience supported by a skilled research function.
Since its inception, it has built up an impressive client base, winning PSL (preferred supplier list) status with a significant number of the leading global investment banks and forging relationships with in excess of 100 clients in the financial services sector.
The team places qualified accountants into all positions through to CFO level. Within investment banking, the majority of accountants are recruited into control-based roles. These positions are predominantly aligned to a particular asset class or entity and include:
As all our candidates are qualified and come from a financial services background, their primary reason for moving is to enhance their long-term career opportunities. The majority of the roles we recruit for fall into a basic salary range of £50,000 to £100,000, although total compensation packages are often considerably augmented by substantial bonuses and benefits.
The Newly and Part-Qualified teams are the top suppliers of qualified and part-qualified accountants in London, predominantly placing in the areas of investment banking (finance and advisory), tax and management consultancy.
The Newly Qualified team looks solely at placing newly qualified accountants from all public practice firms and the Part Qualified team covers graduate to finalist level accountants studying towards ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualifications.

Salaries vary enormously across these areas but basic remuneration increases with examination level and individuals can expect to command salaries from £28,000-£30,000 upon graduation, through to around £37,000-£40,000 for intermediate part-qualifieds, right through to £45,000+ for newly qualified accountants and finalists with experience. For certain areas, salaries for newly qualified individuals can be as high as £55,000, whilst advisory positions will offer a much more varied reward scale, dependant upon skills, competencies and sector specialisation.
As a newly qualified accountant temporary rates will range from £26 to £30 per hour for a first role within financial services. For junior part-qualified accountants rates will traditionally range from £15 per hour to £18 to £22 per hour. Those with relevant banking experience can expect rates between £25 to £35 per hour.
