Our Background

Morgan McKinley was formed in the UK in 1995 as a banking and financial services recruitment consultancy to provide the UK’s leading financial institutions with the highest calibre candidates for positions at all levels.

A decade later, firmly established as the UK’s number one financial services recruitment specialist and a preferred supplier to the major players in the investment banking and financial services sectors, Morgan McKinley grew an international presence to match, with the opening of offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan, following the 2005 acquisition by Imprint Plc.

As a result, ECHM, a specialist financial recruitment company with over 20 years’ experience in commerce and industry, public practice, taxation and the public and not-for-profit sectors, joined the fold. This complemented Morgan McKinley’s service offering perfectly and the new group went from strength to strength as the fastest growing public recruitment company in Europe. They continued to dominate their respective markets over the next 3 years, picking up industry awards, opening new offices in Australia and taking market share, both in the UK and internationally, to new heights.

In 2008 recruitment services firm Premier Group acquired Morgan McKinley. Combined they became a global market leader in professional services recruitment, with 19 offices across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Morgan McKinley and ECHM then joined with Nigel Lynn, Premier Group’s UK accountancy and finance brand and commerce and industry specialists.

In 2009 ECHM and Nigel Lynn integrated as Morgan McKinley, with the ambition to be the best professional services recruitment consultancy in the world.

2010 was all about rebranding, with Premier, Verkom and Brunel becoming Morgan McKinley in Ireland and IQ Selection rebranding in Dubai.

2011 sees a continuation of Morgan McKinley’s expansion, with the opening of our Shanghai branch in February and our Paris branch in July.
