The Accountancy & Finance division is one of the largest and longest established teams at Morgan McKinley and comprises of three dinstinct teams:

Senior Finance

The Senior Finance division provides permanent, temporary and interim recruitment solutions to the leading names in investment banking, retail banking and financial services. When a client requires a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA, MBA, CFA) with post-qualified experience in the front, middle or back office, we deliver.

Our consultants, backed by a resourceful research function, have an average of five years’ financial recruitment experience and are all trained in banking and financial services. Our approach promotes knowledge sharing, corporate partnering and swift issues resolution. This has forged longstanding relationships with the key players in our marketplace to the extent that many of our original candidates are now the decision makers, and also now our clients. 

We focus on senior positions ranging from manager to senior director level and as such, typical permanent base salaries are between £60,000 and £130,000+. For temporary roles, this equates to £300 to £900 per day. Senior finance jobs run across many functions, including:

Core Finance

The Core Finance division is one of the most reputable suppliers of talented Part Qualified and Newly Qualified Accountants to financial services organisations worldwide. We deliver fast, accurate solutions to both contingent and retained assignments for investment banks, retail banks, brokers, dealers and boutique financial services institutions.

Our strength is in our people. Our experienced consultants work in collaboration with a limited number of individual clients each to foster a complete understanding of their requirements, before tailoring a bespoke solution. The same approach is used with candidates as we advise and guide them on the best career path available to them.

Core Finance candidates are either high calibre graduates or qualified and part qualified accountants with financial services, public practice or industry backgrounds. They all have, or are studying towards, an ACA, CA, CIMA or ACCA qualification. We source them via sophisticated advertising techniques and marketing campaigns, including referral schemes, internet advertising and networking events.

Typical remuneration increases with qualifications and experience. Permanent salaries are up to £30,000 for graduate jobs, £35,000+ for part-qualified accountants, £40,000 to £50,000 for finalists and £55,000 to £65,000 for those post qualified to two years post qualified. Temporary roles range from £12 to £15 per hour at the junior end; up to £25 per hour for part qualified accountants and £25+ for qualified candidates. Senior, specialist or project roles can command up to £450 a day. Positions recruited for are often in these specialist areas:

Asset Management Finance

The Asset Management sector is incredibly diverse and this is reflected in both the types of roles for which we recruit, as well as our prestigious client base.

The Asset Management Finance division at Morgan McKinley recruits qualified candidates for permanent roles in the finance departments of most of the leading asset management houses, hedge funds, private equity houses and custodians in London and Europe. The division consists of experienced consultants backed by an expert research function. Many of the team previously worked in asset management positions and have since developed wide-reaching networks across the space.

Our approach is two-way with both our clients and our candidates. We build long-lasting relationships with our clients by listening to their requirements before presenting a solution. We do exactly the same with our candidates. Our reputation as an honest, reliable consultancy has spread throughout the asset management marketplace, resulting in our clients getting the best talent and our candidates getting the best asset management jobs.

Typical salary levels range from £30,000 to £90,000 (plus benefits) with some more senior positions commanding total compensation packages in excess of £100,000. Typical roles include:
